Our Story

Deandra, Exuma Blue Founder

Welcome to Exuma Blue - the place where we bring Bahamian elegance to the forefront. We embody authenticity and quality, blending Bahamian heritage with modern design. We celebrate the beauty of hand-knotted natural gemstones and natural island findings such as conch shells, sea shells and bay beans. While making bold statement for those born to stand out.

Born amidst the vibrant hues and spectacular beauty of The Bahamas, Deandra, our founder and creative soul, was inspired by the resilient spirit and charm of her homeland. Her journey took her to London, diving into its lively ethos, as she honed her innate skills and evolved her craft through London based jewellery schools and self-taught techniques. As a woman and a mother, she understands the diverse roles women play, the strength they carry, and the individuality they embody. It's this connection that fuels her designs.

During her quest to find unique statement jewellery, Deandra found the market saturated with dainty, minimalistic pieces. Undeterred, she began designing her own handcrafted gemstone pieces that encapsulated the bold elegance and vibrant colours of her roots. This was the beginning of Exuma Blue - a brand committed to designing jewellery that makes women feel confident and empowered, a true statement of their unique personality.

Our business model is one that stands on the pillars of quality, authenticity, and personal connection. We believe in sourcing only the highest quality materials, handcrafting each piece to ensure its durability and unique charm. We support local businesses and value sustainable practices, reflecting our commitment to our customers.

We invite you to explore our collections, discover a piece that resonates with your unique journey, and experience the empowerment that comes from wearing a design that's been created with passion, perseverance, and a whole lot of love. In joining us, you're not merely purchasing a piece of jewellery, but becoming part of a story - our story, interwoven with the strength, resilience, and enduring bonds of love that unite us all.
